I became a freelance writer and started coaching…
I’ve always wanted to live a life of adventure. But I struggled to make it happen. I tried multiple “careers” but I felt lost and discouraged in all of them. I gave up. I started working two part-time jobs to make ends meet, not knowing what to do next.
After bingeing YouTube videos and hiking in all of my spare time for a few months. I decided to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail. I didn’t have enough money but I was determined to make it happen anyway.
I started a blog in 2017 and left for the trail six months later. I published a trail journal on my blog every single day of my thru-hike. Eventually, I got one sponsor and hundreds of donations.
I made it to Katahdin and promised myself to never go back to living a life I didn’t love.
I spent the next two years working part time as a barista and building my freelance business on the side (with a lot of messy trial and error).
Then, in 2020, I was laid off from my barista job and wasn’t approved for unemployment.
My world stopped. I worried about how I would pay rent. My dreams of buying a van to adventure in felt so far away.
But that was the fire I needed under my ass to make full time freelancing really work.
Within 3 months, I tripled my income to $6,000+ a month.
I saved as much as I could and bought a van in March 2021. I built it out and traveled the country, earning $5-$13k/mo with freelance writing.
I started coaching near the end of 2020. Just 1:1 consultations at first for people who asked for it. I only did 1:1 coaching for a year before switching to group offerings because I wanted to do more than coach, I wanted to build a community where freelancers could grow together.

WHEN ARE OUR ONE-ON-ONE COACHING CALLS?
We’ll create a call schedule that fits your lifestyle. Whether that’s a weekly recurring meeting or varying times. I’m located in the Eastern Time Zone and offer call start times between 10am-5pm on weekdays.
What’s the get clients guarantee?
If you follow the syllabus and directives of my 1:1 coaching program as they’re prescribed, I guarantee you’ll get clients within 3 months! If you don’t get clients after following all of my instructions, you’ll have free membership to Pop Club + 1:1 chat support until you get your first client.
HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK ALTOGETHER?
You’ll receive a dashboard in Notion that acts as our central hub. The dashboard contains access to the Freelance Resource Library, notes from every one of our calls, links, and your custom Freelance Writer’s Roadmap. All our video calls will be held over Google Meet in your web browser. Outside of our calls, we’ll communicate via Slack.
WHAT IF I CAN’T MEET ONE WEEK?
No worries! The program comes with 12 1:1 calls. We’ll aim to meet every week for, but you have up to 5 months to use all your calls. So we can meet on your timeline. Sometimes, we’ll skip a week or two while you send pitches so that we can save your calls for when you’re actively scheduling Discovery calls or working on your first assignments. We might postpone a week if you have vacation or get sick. It’s a flexible program designed to work for you.
